Church

St John’s the Baptist, nestled in Hagley Hall's grounds, offers a historic wedding venue just steps away from the Hall.

St John’s the Baptist, in the grounds of Hagley Hall, and in the parish of Hagley, is thought to have stood on the site since Saxon times. There’s evidence of a mediaeval building in the shape of a stone carving of the “Hagley Lion”, dating back to about 1130. The church has changed much since then, particularly when it was virtually rebuilt in 1856, with the imposing tower added nine years later.

The church is literally a stone’s throw away from the Hall making it an ideal combination for your wedding and reception. Please go directly to www.hagleycofe.co.uk to see if you qualify to be married there.
